So you’ve become a BeachBody coach but you’re a little unsure on how to go about advertising and promoting your new business? That’s perfectly ok. Everyone has to start somewhere.
Let’s take a look at one of the biggest potential generator of leads which is most likely already at your fingertips…Facebook.
Promote Your BeachBody Coach Business With Social Media
One way to promote your BeachBody Coaching business is to inquire with your Facebook contacts. This is literally one of the first avenues you should explore especially if you have a well established Facebook presence. Many of us have well over a hundred Facebook contacts that we’ve made over the years and it can be easily overlooked that these are hundreds of people that already know you. These people are familiar with you on a friendly basis, work basis, friend of a friend, whatever the case may be.
They already know you, so there is already that semi-trust factor. But it’s important to keep in mind that you do not to lose that trust when you are attempting to market to this group of people.
One of the first strategies you can try is a “probing” post that would be posted for all your contacts to see at once such as this: “Anyone out there want to start working out regularly? I need to lose 30 pounds so I wanted to check and see if anyone else is interested :-)”
…Or something along those lines. The people who respond to your post and show interest you can then private message them and get more specific on your plan and the ideas you have. If you start working out with them regularly whether it be in person or remotely, getting them inspired and excited about a healthy life change you can eventually lead them into becoming a BeachBody Coach. Just by being involved with you for a month or two and witnessing how your coaching business is growing they will soon be inspired and motivated to do the same.
Promoting Your BeachBody Coaching Business Through Facebook, Twitter and Others For HUGE Potential
Taking this a step further to really unite the people who respond to your messages is to create a facebook “Fan” page – which is free of course. You can then mention to those who responded to become “fans” of the page.
Get creative with the name you come up with for your group because you will be creating an actual website address which you can promote anywhere and everywhere! Names such as WestSideWorkouts OR ActiveAdultsAreUs OR InShapeFolks can be fun, inspirational, and catchy. Once created, you will have a website address (if your name is available) that will look like this:
You can then post messages to this page such as “Don’t forget tonight’s workout @8pm at Legg Lake park for 1 hour! And if you can’t join us be sure to do your workout for an hour tonight and post here afterwards!”
If you didn’t want to post a generic message that will be seen by all your friends at once, you can compose a Facebook message to send individually to people you think may be interested in getting in shape/healthy. Yes this takes much longer, but your result may be more effective.
When it comes to writing this “pitch” open it up with a specific memory or question that connects the two of you. “Morning Joe, Haven’t talked to you in awhile, hope all is well. Did you ever buy that Toyota Tundra that you were telling me about?” or “Hey Mary! Haven’t seen you since last year’s Christmas party, hope all is well….”
Then you can go into your pitch and inform them of your “fan” page and its purpose and reason for being. You don’t want to go on page after page. Even though you are excited about this opportunity, they aren’t yet, keep that in mind. You need to convince them of the effectiveness of this opportunity. How they can lose weight and get in shape, and what they can possibly earn through as a BeachBody Coach.
Be meticulous about editing and revising this message prior to sending it. You basically only get one chance and one follow up so the message you send is extremely important.
Hopefully these ideas have got you thinking about the opportunities Facebook and other social networking websites like Twitter and MySpace can offer you. Remember, the more time and energy you put into nurturing and developing your coaching business, the more you will reap from your efforts.
