Maybe you have recently been thinking about changing some of your eating habits but have had trouble avoiding the fast food splurges or excessive restaurant portions served on those enormous plates. This is why it is so important to remember that fat lasts a lot longer than flavor.

Take it from someone who used to weigh nearly 300 pounds and get most of his meals from fast food spots. I knew for a long time that I was eating in an unhealthy manner but I never did anything to resolve this issue until recently.

Now that I’ve changed my eating habits, I realize now how detrimental my nutrition was. One truth that I’ve committed to memory is the fact that fat lasts longer than flavor. When you come to terms with this statement, and ignore the temptations to devour a gluttonous 1500+ calorie meal, then you will truly make progress towards your weight loss goal.

Always Remember That Fat Lasts Longer Than Flavor

When your main focus is improving your daily nutrition, you know how important it is to monitor the portion of each meal. Watch what you eat, as the famous saying goes really hits home here.

I used to be one who didn’t give much thought to the nutritional content that was in my favorite fast food meal. A meal that I often ate a few times each week. A double western bacon cheeseburger with a large order of french fries along with a Oreo Cookie Shake. Little did I know that every time I devoured one of these enormous meals, I was cramming over 2,200 calories into my body at one moment! Just think of how much sodium, sugar, and fat is packed into that unhealthy meal too.

This portion size for a meal is way too much. Actually it is enough calories for 1.5 days of living, not something that should be consumed as lunch. This is the number one reason why you need to understand that the fat will remain on our bodies after eating in this manner a lot longer than the flavor will remain.

In other words, the memory of how this meal tasted will be long gone but that fat will remain until it is worked off in some form of exercise. If you are excessively eating on a daily basis, you can figure out why it is so difficult to lose weight on a consistent basis.
